Not sure about the language, I think some regional variations of Danish are very similar to some variations of Swedish, so much so that two people could speak their native language and can be understood by each other.

They are both speaking Swedish in this interview, but you are right Damian Gordon some Swedes and some Danes, depending on which regions they're from, do understand each other.
Mads speaks Swedish fluently and is rather good at it, if I may say so (I'm Danish myself)
