Having worked together previously on Pushing Daisies, Executive Producer Bryan Fuller and Raul Esparza are reuniting on Hannibal. Raul will play Dr. Frederick Chilton. Although the TV series starts prior to Dr. Lecter's incarceration, fans of Red Dragon and The Silence Of The Lambs
will remember Dr. Chilton as the director of the sanitarium holding Dr.
Lecter; by the time of the HANNIBAL film, Dr. Chilton had been missing
for several years, with the suggestion being that his disappearance had
been caused by Lecter. Raul has won numerous awards for his stage
performances, and was nominated in all four Tony categories for which an
actor is eligible (being just the second performer ever to achieve
that). It's great to have him as part of the team.
