  1. So, is this Hannibal only killing women to whom he is attracted? If so, this would change the ethos of the character as depicted in the novels.

  2. I don't think he's going to kill Miriam Lass, I think he is just going to threaten her.

  3. I wonder if the previews, where the cannibal is described by Will as someone who "doesn't want to kill women, he wants to consume them," is actually describing the actions of Lecter. I hope not. This would reduce his motivations and make him seem rather pedestrian. In Silence (the film) Lecter states that he would prefer not killing Clarice, since the world would "be a more interesting place" with her in it. In the novel and the films he seems to kill only those that threaten him, get in his way, or offend him.
